Jacobett is a dedicated, passionate and caring attorney whose sole focus is to voraciously advocate for her clients. This focus has helped her achieve the best results for her clients and has created strong client relationships. Jacobett’s experience has not only solidified her passion for helping her community but has also provided her the necessary skills to better serve her clients.
Jacobett was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and earned her bachelor’s from the University of Texas at El Paso. As an undergraduate student Jacobett was selected as an American Inn of Courts Scholar and completed the Law School Preparation Institute Program in training to pursue her legal education. Jacobett also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and worked at a small nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the immigrant community. It was these experiences that helped solidify her passion to help those overlooked by the legal system and give a voice to the voiceless.
Jacobett earned her law degree in two and a half years from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2019. During her time in law school, Jacobett took pride in being a first-generation Latina Woman and sought out leadership positions among organizations that celebrated and supported her Latina heritage and community. Jacobett was the Secretary for both the Immigration Law Student Association and the Mexican American Law Student Association. Jacobett also had an active role in the Student Bar Association and helped coordinate and plan several school events. Jacobett was an active presence around her school community and often challenged herself to step out of her comfort zone by joining the Evidence and Trial Practice Class and giving up several weekends to complete her training in both Mediation and Family Mediation in order to earn her Mediation certificate. Jacobett also worked her way all though law school and interned at various personal injury firms to help grow her experience and interest in the field.
In her spare time, Jacobett enjoys spending time with her husband and family, going for a hike, reading a new book, or cooking something delicious in the kitchen.
