Losing a child in a car accident is tragic, and this father from Texas lost at least two of his children and was left with another who was injured. In this case, a woman allegedly hit a vehicle full of teens and left them at the scene while she fled. She failed to stop or help any of the three left dying at the scene of the auto accident. The 23-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with four counts of failure to stop and render aid, but it’s not clear why she didn’t stop to help them at the time of the accident.
According to the news from June 15, the accident took place at around 2:30 a.m. when a white Chrysler sped south on Woodridge and failed to stop at a red light. The driver then struck a blue Chevy that was carrying teens heading home from a party. They were headed east on the loop road, and the accident resulted in injuries to the teens inside. The victims inside included six teens, four males and two females. Three of those teens were killed at the scene.
The report states that those killed included a 19-year-old girl, her 15-year-old brother, and a 14-year-old boy. The 19-year-old woman had a 16-month-old daughter, according to her father who was interviewed following the accident. At least two other teens in the vehicle had to be treated for their injuries, but their identities were not released.
The story claims that the 23-year-old woman who struck the vehicle has been arrested, but she may not have been the only one in the vehicle that night. According to the Houston police, investigators are still looking for a second person who may have fled the scene that night following the accident.
