When Rob Lovett says he fights for you and your family members, he means everyone –four-legged members included.
Earlier this month, Lovett Law Firm sponsored Law N Paws at the recent Expo Familia, a family-focused event that took place on March 2nd, 2019. Law N Paws is a non-profit animal rescue whose sole mission is to “help abused and neglected animals.” The organization was founded in 2017 by El Paso Police Detective Vanessa Acosta, who was inspired to take action after investigating animal cruelty and abuse cases at her job. With a background in law enforcement, Acosta and company understand what it takes to protect defenseless pets (Acosta’s mother, now retired from law enforcement, also helps with the organization).
Animals rescued by Law N Paws are rehabilitated with medical care, spayed/neutered, given vaccinations, and finally microchipped before being placed in their new home. Potential adopters need to submit an application before approval and are subject to a background check, ensuring the rescued dogs are going to loving, caring, and responsible owners.
With six dogs of their own, Rob and his family are true animals lovers, so the decision to support Law N Paws was an easy one. In addition to donating towards Law N Paws’ entry fee to the Expo Familia, Lovett Law Firm took donations from attendees and used their social media and outdoor digital bulletin to spread the world about Law N Paws’ good work. With their shared mission of defending the vulnerable, Lovett Law Firm and Laws N Paws are looking forward to an ongoing partnership in the future.
Best of all, this story has a happy ending: all three dogs at the Expo found their forever homes.
