4 People Killed In Texas Car Accident

The news from June 23 reports that four people were killed in the accident, and one person was injured. The suspected drunk driver ran a red light on Beechnut and struck a 2002 Honda Civic. The driver of the Civic and three of the backseat passengers were killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. The Harris County Sheriff’s Department reported that the victims were found at the scene with no signs of life, but one passenger did survive.
One passenger in the vehicle that was injured had to be rushed to Memorial Hermann hospital. The victim is allegedly in stable condition. There was no report on whether or not the alleged drunken driver was hurt in the accident.
Police did report that the man driving the 2009 Dodge showed signs of impairment. He was charged with four counts of intoxication manslaughter and arrested. The man did provide a blood test and breath specimen, although police did not release information on the results of his tests. They are still investigating the case, so it’s possible that updates could include evidence against the man.
