Texas Man Claims Golf Cart Collision Caused Permanent Injuries

Laying on the beach in Texas should be a relaxing, stress-free experience, but for this man and his daughter, a relaxing beach day was anything but that. The man from Texas has claimed that he was hit by a golf cart on a beach, which left him with injuries that may never totally heal. The Dec. 17 report states that the man and his daughter are now suing the man who was driving the golf cart for his negligence.
According to the complaint, the man had been sitting in a metal folding chair in the sand on the beach, and his daughter had been nearby walking in the surf. That’s when she witnessed her father being stuck by the golf cart. He suffered serious and permanent injuries, they claim, and he had to be taken away to the hospital by ambulance.
The injured man claims that he suffered a compressed spinal fracture, a right forearm fracture, a dislocated left shoulder, and multiple other injuries all around his body. He reportedly suffered from head trauma, which could have led to a brain injury. He reportedly had to have surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch and again needed surgery when he later discovered that he was suffering from a rotator cuff tear. In the future, the man expects to have to have a left shoulder replacement.
The lawsuit also alleges that the driver of the golf cart had been drunk at the time of the accident. He’s accused of negligence, gross negligence, and negligence per se.
Getting hurt isn’t something you want to have happen, especially when it involves a drunk driver. If you’ve been injured, your focus needs to be on healing, not on fighting your case in court. With the right help, someone else can take care of your case while you get the medical attention you need to fully recover.
