Teen In Induced Coma Suffered Brain Injury Playing Football

The last thing you want to see happen is your child getting hurt playing a sport at school. Sometimes, these injuries are covered by the school’s liability insurance, which you’ll need an attorney to help you make a claim with. While this claim may be secondary to your child’s health, it can help you cover the travel costs and medical bills that come your way after treatment.
A young teen athlete has been placed into an induced coma after suffering a serious brain injury during a football game at Bushland High in Texas on October 8. According to the story, the teen had been playing on his team when he suffered a blow to the head. The injury resulted in him collapsing on the field.
The teen did not need assistance walking off the field, but when he reached the sidelines he collapsed again. There, he received assistance and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. When he arrived, it was discovered that he needed surgery for the injury, and he was placed into an induced coma to heal.
The superintendent for the school has said that the junior is recovering, and a collection was taken at the game to help support the teen’s family as they took time off work and remained by his side. His mom, according to the news, was staying in a hotel paid for by the booster club. After the surgery, the football coach reported that he saw the teen in recovery. He said he believes the teen will be in for a long recovery.
