Jeff McElroy has 36 years of experience as a litigation attorney. After finishing his undergraduate and law school degrees at Baylor University, Jeff practiced as a plaintiff attorney for several years before switching to the defense practice. Jeff has returned to his first love in joining the Lovett Law Firm, representing injured individuals in their legal claims for just compensation. In 28 years of representing insurance companies, he learned how the defendants use specific techniques to reduce the amount they ultimately have to pay. With over 125 jury trial verdicts, Jeff has a complete understanding of the courtroom process and experience. He is truly at home in front of a jury and values every opportunity to present his client’s case in court.
Jeff has an AV distinguished attorney rating from the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. In addition, he is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, is a Texas Super Lawyer, and in 2014 was entered into the Texas Lawyer Verdicts Hall of Fame.
Jeff and his wife have called El Paso home since finishing their college studies. He has participated in a local triathlon and running clubs and was a member of the Sunturians civic group, of which he was President in 2000. Jeff is also a former member of the Paso Del Norte civic development group. In addition, he enjoys gardening and playing guitar.
